Coweta County Little League Registration The old familiar song of 'Take Me Out To The Ball Game" will soon be ringing through your homes again as all the local baseball & softball leagues are holding their Spring registration over the next few weeks. The specific information follows for each league but before you get to that take time to consider the 'Parents Ten Commandments' presented below. Remember that no matter how bright the star your child may be - they are still children - and it is only a game.

THE PARENT’S TEN COMMANDMENTS 1. I shall remember when all is said and done and the bats are put away, THAT IT IS ONLY A GAME! 2. I shall spare no effort to help my child become the very best player possible. I shall encourage my child at every opportunity. 3. I shall remember that my actions teach as much to my children as they learn on the field of play. 4. I shall not belittle or criticize umpires or coaches. Should I forget this commandment, I SHALL BE PREPARED TO ASSUME THE UMPIRE OR COACHING DUTIES. 5. I shall remember that there are important things to learn on the ball field besides softball—confidence is a result of hard work and desire, and commitment is a result of dependence on each other. 6. I shall encourage confidence by complimenting my child at every opportunity. 7. I shall show my child commitment by getting her to practices and games at the appointed time—even though there might be other things more desirable to do at the time. 8. I shall direct only encouragement to my team and applaud all good plays—even when made by the other team. 9. I shall remember that youth softball is all volunteer work and that I shall help whenever possible. 10. I SHALL REMEMBER WHEN ALL IS SAID AND DONE AND THE BATS ARE PUT AWAY, THAT IT IS STILL ONLY A GAME!! -Dot Brown
